Timesaving Tips to Great Closet Experience

Throw out or donate to charity everything that no longer pleases you for any reason.
Develop an organizing principle; For Example:
- Hang all outfits together if you wear coordinates
- Hang clothing by type; shirts, slacks, skirts if you mix and match
- Create a space for dress-up, work, casual and lounge
- Change out your closet seasonally and store out of season clothes in another closet.
Make sure you are proud of your shoes and hand bags, briefcase and luggage. Organize your shoes by type; dressy, work, casual, lounge and boots.
Invest in beautiful and appropriate hangers; and, use shoe stuffers to make your shoes smell sweet, feel dry and look newer longer.
Get in "ready to wear condition" for the next day. Create a special place for your "next" outfit by hanging all pieces together, including accessories and shoes. This will preview your plan and affirm that you will look terrific! Give them a quick steam, dryer or iron press if necessary.
Spend a half-hour each week resettling and straightening. And, keep a little sewing basket in your closet handy for minor repairs.
Remove dry cleaning bags and allow your clothes to breathe.
Seasonal Tips
Inventory your wardrobe for needed updates and shop ahead.
Shine and condition your leather shoes, bags and accessories at the end of every season and store in a dust free location with shoe stuffers or shoe trees and sachets and tissue paper in bags.
Check your luggage, shoes and bags for needed repairs at the end of each season. Most shoe repair experts can handle shoes, bags and luggage for one stop shopping.
Store out of season clothing in fabric garment bags with a sachet.
Furs should be professionally glazed and stored every single summer for optimal beauty.
Adding a subtle fragrance, such as lavender to your closet will create a fresh, clean scent and keep pesky moths and other critters at bay.
